Talking therapies and counselling in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire
We provide free, confidential talking therapies and counselling to anyone aged 17+ who is registered with a GP in the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire area.

Our Peterborough and Cambridgeshire service offers a range of talking therapies and counselling for common issues including:
- Low mood or depression
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Bereavement and loss

The therapies we offer
We offer a range of talking therapies in our Peterborough and Cambridgeshire service, including:
- SilverCloud (online therapy course)
- Guided self-help based on CBT
- CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
- Counselling
- Couple therapy for depression
- EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing)
- Interpersonal therapy (IPT)

24/7 mental health text line
If you live, work or study in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, you can text HEAR to 85258 to recieve free and confidential text-based mental health crisis support, 24/7, 365 days a year.
You’ll be connected to a mental health clinician who will take you from a place of crisis to a place of calm. During the conversation, you’ll be supported and signposted to local and national mental health support.
Launched by NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and in partnership with the national service SHOUT, the free to use text service HEAR 85258 provides real-time support to people of all ages who are struggling with their mental health.
