You will probably have noticed the tool popping up when you landed on our website!
We have partnered with the AI technology firm, Limbic, to develop a conversational referral tool that will allow therapists to provide the best level of support to patients, whilst also reducing waiting times for treatment.
Mild to moderate mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, stress, and insomnia are at an all-time high. As a result, we are seeing increased numbers of referrals into our NHS services.
But we know that patients often worry about having to wait a long time before receiving treatment.
Before we launched the Limbic referral tool, we conducted 60-minute assessments for all patients, regardless of how complex or mild their symptoms were.
Our new AI referral tool gathers essential information and assesses if a person is displaying mild or complex symptoms, which allows people showing mild symptoms to receive a more suitable 20-minute assessment.
By automating these early steps, we will free up over 7,300 hours per year of our therapists’ time. This will allow them to focus on helping more people access the support they need more quickly.
Adam Crampsie, Chief Executive of Everyturn Mental Health and Everyturn Mental Health said:
We are thrilled to be investing in this type of technology to help as many people access our service as quickly as possible. We treat such a wide range of conditions, with varying complexities, that is why it is so important we can give everyone the right level of treatment at the right time.
“The new AI referral tool on our website will help people looking for support understand the process and be signposted to the relevant part of our service much quicker. This means we can save our therapists time, so they can focus on helping people feel better.
If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, you can self-refer to access our support using Limbic.
