On Wednesday 26 February, Everyturn and We Are Undefeated are to host a conference on working in partnership to improve the mental and physical health of the Mid Notts communities of Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark, and Sherwood.
The event is an opportunity for GPs, third-sector organisations, and other healthcare professionals to network and find out about the services working in partnership in the area.
Everyturn is a national organisation and the sole provider of NHS talking therapies in Mid Notts, as part of the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) programme. We Are Undefeatable is a national campaign to support the 15 million people who live with one or more long-term health condition in England. Together, they offer their expertise on working in partnership to increase the community’s wellbeing and resilience.
The conference will include presentations and case studies from Everyturn’s therapists, as well as Mansfield Town Football Club’s CEO Carolyn Radford and Mansfield Town Football in the Community and We Are Undefeatable Mansfield.
Amy Fish, Team Lead for Everyturn in Mid Notts, commented:
“This event is a great platform to promote the services available within the Mid Notts area to those experiencing common mental health difficulties alongside long term-health conditions.
“1 in 4 people experience a mental health difficulty each year, so it is really important for us as mental health professionals to spread awareness of what services and support is out there, and even more importantly how the public can access that support.
“It is a great opportunity for us to work in partnership with Mansfield Town Football Club, to promote services to all members of the community.”
The conference will take place at the One Call Stadium in Mansfield from 1.45-4.00pm and includes refreshments. There will be an opportunity to network with the partners and other professionals from 4.00-5.00pm.
