We are thrilled that our mental health carers support service in South Tyneside has received over £4,900 from the Co-op Local Community Fund!
Since November 2017, Co-op members have raised over £19 million for 4,000 local causes. The Co-op gives 1% of the money members spend on Co-op branded products to community projects.
The donation received by our carers support service will be spent on maintaining activities such as the men’s and women’s groups, and will enable the weekly coffee and peer support mornings to continue for the next 12 months. We can now also introduce new activities to help to prevent social exclusion, promote carers’ wellbeing, and help carers to build more confidence and self-esteem.
A huge thank-you to the Co-op for its support!
