New for this year, the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development List recognises employers making colleague development a important part of workplace culture. The workplaces on this list offer their people opportunities to learn new skills and progress professionally. Understanding that development shouldn’t be a one-size fits all approach, working with and supporting every colleague on their own journey.
We’re so proud to share that our official ranking in the large category is 67!
Anonymous responses from our amazing colleagues in our recent Great Place To Work survey showed that one of our strongest areas of positive feedback was learning and development, with 77% of our people saying they feel they’re offered the opportunity to develop themselves further professionally. We’re so proud of this feedback, as this reflects our commitment towards investing in our workforce.
In the last 6 months, we launched our new online Everyturn Academy, offering our colleagues over 300 courses, including our Elevate continuing professional development (CPD) programme, as well as over 70 options available for apprenticeship opportunities, which include leadership and nursing. Below is an example of some of the great feedback we’ve received on our development opportunities, this one in particular for a registered nurse degree:
“You can learn both in work place and placement, giving that extra experience, you don’t get into student debt.”
We’ve also introduced a full leadership offer including a Future Leaders programme, a 12 month course aimed at colleagues ready to take their next step into a leadership role. 100% of colleagues that have attended these sessions so far felt that their knowledge and skills improved following the session.

To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development List, Great Place to Work® reviewed our culture, benefits, approach to leadership and development, alongside anonymous responses from our employees. They then used these data insights to benchmark our company’s employee value proposition against the culture our employees actual experience. Only the businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
