Adam’s speech focused on the theme “All in this Together” and explained the importance of the third sector in the delivery of mental health services.
Adam began by tracing the long-standing relationship between Everyturn Mental Health and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW).
Everyturn Mental Health and CNTW have a strong partnership and have worked closely for over 30 years to transform mental health services and deliver care and support.
Adam emphasised that voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are an essential partner in community mental health transformation.
VCSEs bring specialist expertise and fresh perspectives to public service delivery. They are well-placed to support people with complex and multiple needs, and also have a long track record of creatively engaging with, and improving outcomes for, communities with the poorest health.
