A huge thank you to the team at Asda Cramlington for their continued support during the pandemic. Our Chief Operations Officer, Scott Vigurs, was invited along to the re-launch of the store to meet the team!
Asda Cramlington and Jackie Burt, the store’s Community Champion, have provided invaluable support to Everyturn Mental Health throughout the pandemic, so it was a brilliant opportunity to meet (socially distanced of course!) to thank Jackie and the team for their generosity.
At the start of the pandemic, Jackie got in touch with Everyturn Mental Health to see how Asda could support us. Based just 10 minutes up the road from our head office in Seaton Burn, the Cramlington team wanted to make sure that their support was having a direct impact in their community.
We have been lucky enough to receive two huge care hampers, filled with books, toiletries, and other gifts. One of the hampers was donated to our 24-hour adult nursing service in Gosforth, and the other contributed to the wellbeing boxes we have been delivering to older people in Newcastle, who are shielding or isolated.
We are also hugely grateful for Jackie’s support with the Asda Foundation Hygiene Grant. We were awarded £497.50, to help us to provide self-care items for residents of our dementia care services. Due to the pandemic, visitors and family have been restricted from entering our services, which has made it more of a challenge for our residents to get special pampering items. This grant will ensure that our residents still have access to those luxury items that help them to feel at home.
A huge thanks once again to Jackie and all the team at Asda Cramlington, for their continued support!
