Who we support
We support women who are pregnant, or have had a baby within the last two years.
We’re here for people who are experiencing mental health difficulties and might also need support with practical or emotional issues.
The support we offer
We offer a range of personalised support, including one-to-one sessions with a Maternal Mental Health Link Worker. These sessions usually last between half an hour to an hour and can be online or over the phone.
Support can include:
- Practical ways to manage panic or worry.
- Support to connect with friends and family.
- Help with attending appointments.
- Mindfulness and relaxation techniques.
How to access our support
This service is for people who are registered with a GP in the Well Up North or Valens Primary Care Networks in Northumberland.
Referrals to us are made directly by GPs, social prescribers, mental health practitioners, community midwives, or health visitors.
