Get Urgent Help

We’re incredibly proud to have earned the Royal College of Psychiatrists Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapies Services (APPTS). An accreditation programme for services in the UK who provide psychological therapies to improve the wellbeing of adults, ensuring services like our Talking Therapies are reviewed and in line with APPTS guidelines and processes.

It’s been a great opportunity for us to show our dedication to maintaining high standards and improving our practices.

How does the accreditation process work?

Self review

During the self-review process, we rated our procedures, policies and practices, measuring them against the published APPTS standards. By completing this review, collection data through questionnaires, we also gained valuable insights and engaged with our therapists and the people we support, more closely.

Peer review

We also had a peer review visit from an external peer review team made up of other APPTS accredited service leads and clinicians, to approve our self-review data. The team talked with our service managers, talking therapist colleagues, and the people we support in our services. We then received valuable feedback on our achievements and any areas for development.

Our areas of achievement included:

  • Our approach to risk
  • Prioritising the health and wellbeing of our colleagues
  • Satisfaction from the people we support
  • Equity in our service
  • Wellbeing support during waiting times

We look forward to amplifying the voices of the people we support as we develop our services. With their valuable feedback and insights, we can aim to deliver the highest quality of care for the people we support.

Mona Stylianou, Principal Clinical Lead at Everyturn Mental Health said:

“We’re so proud to share this achievement within our NHS Talking Therapies services. This valuable feedback helps us to continue improving, enhance the services we offer and ensure no one struggles alone.

By supporting our people to stay at the forefront of recommendations, guidance and best practice, we can make sure that the care we deliver through our NHS Talking Therapies, brings the best outcomes for the people we support.”
